User isn't displayed as operator when opening a new channel

Description
I noticed this some days ago. When I open a new channel, I'm not displayed as an operator. When other users join that channel, they are displayed correctly as normal users. I (the operator) still has it's rights to give other users operator status, which will be displayed correctly as operators.
Only dropping and giving (from other user of course) operator rights again will 'fix' it.
Additional information:
AFAIR both 0.3.0-git and 0.2.0-rc1 is affected (i currently just use 0.3.0-git everywhere)
